There are several excellent effects reflectionz even more excellent “creation” sections. Then finally to show how that theory was or could be put into practice to create an effect.
A Book in English by Woody Aragon. I hate seeing someone copying another magician, even if the routine was published. I was a little confused by this as Dave said there were no performance restictions on this, Ontology Project or Red Mirror, when other people had made a big fuss about the purchaser not being allowed to reflectuons the material from Red Mirror at all.
For a small book with only rfflections hundred and fifty pages Helder does an amazing job of dissecting various problems with creating effects, designing routines and a host of other related problems. So I think the pricing is in line. I’m working on effect descriptions and will post them as soon they’re finished.

Any chance of seeing the contents of the book. However, this is not a guide for the magician wanting to learn a few quick tricks. This way you avoid expensive international shipping fees and taxes. This is book is great, the effects are great!!! Watch the video – he lists a few of the items in the book. You get to see inside the mind of a genuinely gifted magician. A very simple effect but Helder’s breakdown of what makes the routine work was eye opening to say the least.
Every trick description is interlaced with analytical breakdowns that shows me that Helder didn’t just stumble into that FISM win.

Darwin has plenty of “theory” in that book as well. If you just want a book with a bunch of great card tricks then get Crardshark by Darwin Ortiz.

I saw a lecture by Helder brilliant, BTW but I was also under the impression that there were performance restrictions on all his material. On Red Mirror there is a routine where two red aces transpo with two black aces.

If you’re looking to drastically improve the way you look at and think about magic, this definitely fits the bill. My favorite books on theory are also by Ortiz.
My favorite book on card tricks is Cardshark by Darwin Ortiz. Reflections by Helder Guimaraes. Studying his approach, attention to detail, psychology, presentation, structure, audience management, and creative solutions can be applied to any effect you perform.
It was painful to read and reflextions several attempts for me to begin to grasp what he was saying. Confidences by Roberto Giobbi – Book. It could be that I’m just slow very likely or that he was waaaaay over thinking the plot. I cant find any other info about it other than this: Other than a few minor issues with the translation leading to a few typos and minor grammar issues, hepder was a darn near flawless production.
